The Holy Thursday celebrated by the faithful of Tanjung Malim at 7.00pm. It was drizzle though the people still come to the church. Fr. Chin celebrated the mass for the first time after his holiday. He just return back to the church after Fr. Stanley left us, last week.
The mass start at 7.00pm. It was the mass of The Lord's Supper. During his homily Fr. Chin explained about the readings for the mass. The first reading from Exodus tells us a bout the first Passover celebrated by Moses and his people. The second reading was from the Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthian. It tells us about the The Last Supper Jesus have had. The Gospel reading were taken from John13 : 1 - 5. Here the Gospel tells us about Jesus washing His disciple's feet.
After the homily, Fr. Chin conclude it with the rite of washing the feet. There was 12 chosen people came forward and let the Father did the rite of washing the feet. The mass ended at 8.15pm with the rite of moving the consecrated Holy Communion to the adoration place at the other side of the church. The incense fume filled the air. After that, the church member cleared up the altar in preparing for The Good Friday. The main crucifix also being veiled with a purple cloth. The Good Friday Service will start at 6.00pm with the Station of The Cross.
